Why M2ICOS?

The M2ICOS project aims to expand mobility opportunities for practicing and continuing education oncologists, for a 3 or 6 months fellowship. Access to European centers of excellence will enrich their skills and enhance the quality of cancer treatment throughout the European Union, thereby increasing the implementation of the EU Cancer Plan. Furthermore, the M2ICOS project will facilitate the sharing of best practices and the harmonization of oncology care standards within EU healthcare facilities.

M2ICOS  objectives are:
  1. Improvement of clinical skills
  2. Multidisciplinary collaboration
  3. Exposure to best practices
  4. Professional development
M2ICOS outcomes are:
  1. Enhanced clinical skills among participating oncologists.
  2. Strengthened multidisciplinary collaboration within the oncology field.
  3. Increased exposure to and adoption of best practices in cancer treatment.
  4. Advancement of professional development among oncology professionals.

These outcomes will contribute to improving the quality of cancer care and treatment across the European Union, ultimately benefiting patients and healthcare systems alike.

  • St Vincent's University Hospital, Dublin, Ireland

Application

Applicants must depart from and return to an Italian city.

APPLICATION DEADLINE 15 JUNE 2025

ESO will proceed with the selection process on a regular monthly basis (at the end of the month).

The present call is published under condition, pending the release of the Call Erasmus+ 2024 and the subsequent signing of the Erasmus+ 2024 financial agreement between the National Agency INAPP/Erasmus and the European School of Oncology. All activities and funding mentioned in this call are therefore subject to change following what may be provided by the rules of the financial agreement Erasmus+ 2024.
