The 2018 conference programme will include special sessions designed for in-training oncologists with question-and-answer modules and simulated board certification tests in oncology. It will furthermore offer plenary lectures delivered by the leading experts in the field, focusing on the state-of-the-art therapies and concluding with take-home messages. Lectures will cover the current standards of modern oncology, with special attention to practical aspects of effective cancer treatment. Multidisciplinary interactive sessions will be opened also for non-oncologists dealing with cancer patients (radiologists, pathologists, general practitioners, etc.). The conference will be held in English and further languages, for which simultaneous translation in English will be provided. European experts in oncology, invited jointly by ESO and Medycyna Praktyczna, will deliver lectures on practical clinical issues, including management of patients with gastrointestinal malignancies (including liver), current strategies in gynaecological oncology and advanced lung cancer, management of breast cancer (including novel therapeutic options), treatment of urinary tract malignancies, skin malignancies and oncological emergencies.

• Improve the skills and knowledge on practical clinical issues, such as management of common treatment-related toxicities, nausea and vomiting prophylaxis, cancer emergencies and specific problems with immunotherapies

FRYDERYK TEODOR OEHME TRAVEL GRANT
Physicians from the following countries may apply for the Fryderyk Teodor Oehme Travel Grant: Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Slovak Republic, Ukraine.
The 2018 Oehme Travel Grant will consist of: free registration to the conference, two nights accommodation in Kraków (15th - 17th June), invitation to the faculty dinner on 15th October, 100 Euro as a partial reimbursement of travel expenses.
The deadline for applying is 10th May 2018.
About the Grant
Fryderyk Teodor Oehme was a Polish surgeon of German origin, who in 1773 performed the very first documented mastectomy in the territory of Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in a beautiful palace in the town of Nieswiez, located in today's Belarus. He personalizes unique combination of history of breast cancer surgery and history of Central and Eastern Europe.
Fryderyk Teodor Oehme Travel Grant program has been started in 2010 and since then it has been awarded to 32 young oncologist from five countries.
