Aims and objectives
ESO is pleased to announce its fifth Masterclass in Clinical Oncology. This clinically oriented educational programme has been designed for dedicated physicians who wish to improve their skills in the management of cancer patients, and will expose participants to a full spectrum of issues in clinical oncology. It is designed to offer a unique learning experience providing practice-oriented training. The programme focuses on breast, colorectal, gynaecological, head and neck, lung cancer and haematological malignancies and will encompass general issues in clinical oncology. Workshops will be organised in palliative care and supportive care.
Teaching format
The Masterclass offers plenary lectures with state-of-the-art treatments concluded in take-home messages, Tutor co-ordinated working groups with the Masterclass Chair, case presentations by participants and discussions with the faculty and the audience.
All participants will reside at the course venue and participation is compulsory throughout the course.
The course will be entirely in English and fluency in English is necessary for admission.
The Masterclass in Clinical Oncology is held in collaboration with the Flims Alumni Club (FAC) and is ESMO Labeled (see also "Information - CME Accreditation")

CME Accreditation
The Masterclass has achieved CME accreditation approval by the Accreditation Council of Oncology in Europe (ACOE) and European accreditation by the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS) clearing house, the EACCME. The event is granted 30 ECMEC's (European CME credits).
The Masterclass is furthermore ESMO labeled (European Society for Medical Oncology) and granted 35 category 1 ESMO-MORA points.
