ESO-OECI Course on Cancer Molecular Pathobiology in the Clinics: Highlights

This conference will look at the new and exciting field of cancer biology and treatment. New trends in personalized medicine open different overviews of pathology and molecular biology as linked for the patient benefit.

Implementing clinical use of personalized diagnostics can stratify patients, give molecular classification of disease, determine the likelihood of occurrence, and recommend the best course of treatment.  These approaches promise to reduce costs in healthcare, improve treatment, and have the potential to provide consumer-driven access to health information. Technologies have to be evaluated for research and clinical use, and approaches for turning these discoveries into viable business models will be highlighted.

The course shall represent a premiere in this part of Europe bringing together key speakers and personalities in the most challenged fields in cancer diagnostics and treatment. A long term cooperation between OECI, ESO and the local organizer, The Oncology Institute Ion Chiricuta of Cluj Napoca, will assure an excellent scientific atmosphere for all specialists interested in understanding and learning the hot topics of the new cancer  era.

A special session shall be accorded to virtual microscopy slides evaluation as a practical approach for pathologists and specialists in the field.
