Split Clinical Hospital Center

The Split Clinical Hospital Center (KBC Split) is the second largest hospital in Croatia that employs approximately 3200 people. This institution, as a regional hospital, is gravitated by about 1 000 000 citizens as well as many tourists during the season. KBC Split performs specialist health care and hospital activity, as well as medical research activities in the field of medical sciences. The center has 1 854 beds, 20 operating rooms and two endoscopic halls.  Within KBC Split there are 2 Clinical Institutes, 9 Clinics and 16 Departments. Within the frame of KBC Split exists Department of Oncology, separate building within the KBC Split campus. Consequently, Departmentv is using KBC facilities (diagnostic, surgery, laboratory or pathology) and it is concentrated on cancer treatment and follow up mainly. Now, from the faculty point of view we have 15 oncologists employed as well as 8 residents. All forms of cancer therapy are given within our institution; sistemic and radiotherapy. Departments’ employees go through continuous process of personal development and education, thus maintaining and improving the care for our patients. Multidisciplinarity as well as clinical scientific work are well established and continously invested in.
