Programme description

This programme is intended to allow the student to immerse in the multidisciplinary management of thoracic malignancies with special focus on lung cancer. Therefore, the students will be involved in all the diagnostic procedures needed for a correct pathological and molecular diagnosis of cancer as well as the standard staging procedures. The students will presentially observe all this procedures and attend the Lung Cancer Tumour Board in which clinical decisions are made. In addition, the students will shadow the consultants involved in the therapeutic management of these patients involving targeted therapy and immunotherapy as systemic treatment options.
