Programme description
A customized program will be developed to address the clinical, technical, and dosimetry aspects of radiotherapy (RT) in the treatment of various solid cancers, including those of the SNC, head and neck, gastrointestinal, lung, breast, genitourinary, cutaneous, and hematological cancers such as lymphoma. The palliative role of RT and combination with superficial and deep hyperthermia treatments will also be explored.
This program will be designed to accommodate radiation oncologists, physicists, and radiation therapists (RTT), either as individual participants or as part of a complete team. The content and approach will be tailored to meet specific needs. In a multidisciplinary setting, the program will cover everything from conventional and conformal RT to the most advanced techniques such as intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), volumetric-modulated radiotherapy (VMAT), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) and radiosurgery (SRS) in different disease settings. A specific focus will be given on MRI-only planning and the integration of hyperthermia with radiotherapy.
