Programme description
The Genolier Radio-Oncology Centre provides curative and palliative radiation therapy to patients based on a multidisciplinary approach, following international guidelines and research protocols, for most types of tumors, including gynaecological (breast, uterus, cervix), urological (prostate, bladder, kidney, testicle), digestive (oesophagus, stomach, rectum, anal canal), ENT, lung, neurological, and skin tumors. It includes intraoperative radiotherapy treatments, particularly for localised breast cancers. During your 3 month observership, the program will enable you to know the indications, preparation, treatment process, side effects and complications, and expose you to the following activities:
- participation to the multidisciplinary tumor board,
- selection and delineation of organs at risk and target volumes
- dose prescription
- management of acute toxicities
You will integrate a specialised medical-technical team that is attentive to the needs of each patient and places absolute priority on their safety and well-being, offering them targeted radio-oncology treatments of the highest quality, with a state-of-the-art technical platform.
