Since its founding in 1982, the European School of Oncology (ESO) has worked to improve cancer care across Europe and beyond by supporting the education and career development of oncology professionals.
ESO’s teaching activities take place primarily in Europe, but are designed to be broadly accessible — reaching non-EU countries, Eastern Europe, Eurasia, and regions with close cultural and linguistic ties to Europe, such as the Mediterranean, Central, and Latin America.
The figures presented in this section reflect the entire history of ESO’s activities from 1982 to today and highlight the School’s ongoing commitment to building a skilled, connected, and patient-focused oncology community.
