Multidisciplinary approach to neoadjuvant and post neoadjuvant treatment in Breast Cancer

ESO Ambassador Educational Event Series – Towards 50 years of Learning to Care
As part of the journey towards the 50th Anniversary of the European School of Oncology (ESO), we are launching a series of educational events hosted in countries represented by ESO Ambassadors.
Ambassadors have been grouped by region to collaborate internationally and organise an ESO event in one of their countries, fostering regional cooperation and strengthening professional networks.

Purpose and Format
Each ambassador group identifies the most relevant educational needs in their region — whether focused on breast cancer, lung cancer, or more specialized topics.
Events are designed to last 1 to 1.5 days in the form of a Visiting Professorship combined with a half-day soft skills workshop (e.g., communication, burnout prevention, nutrition, and wellbeing).
All events are hosted by a local institute and aim to create a truly European learning environment.

Building an International Community
Participants will come from the ambassadors’ respective countries, creating a cross-border group and offering many professionals their first structured engagement with ESO. The initiative highlights ESO’s strong commitment to:
• Multidisciplinarity
• Networking
• Collaborative learning

Attendees will have the opportunity to:
• Interact with European renowned faculty
• Connect with peers from neighboring countries
• Deepen their knowledge of a specific oncological topic
• Develop soft skills through workshops aligned with ESO’s long-standing motto, “Learning to Care”, which has guided the organization for almost 50 years.
2026 Edition will be held in Skopje, North Macedonia

Dates: 30 – 31 October, 2026

The 2026 event will take place at the University Clinic of Radiotherapy and Oncology in Skopje, North Macedonia

The event will be hosted by ESO Ambassador Gordana Petrovska, together with neighboring Ambassadors Fatjona Kraja (AL), Lazaros Papadopoulos (GR) and Brunilda Profka Haxhiu (XK).
