Programme description
Approximately 700 patients with gastrointestinal cancer are seen and treated at the Department of Onology nad Radiotherapy. Medical treatment (systemic treatment and radiation) of patients takes places in an in- and outpatient setting. Multidisciplinary meetings are held every week in our Department for treatment decisions and consultations between specialties. Clinical oncologists, abdominal, thoracal surgeons and pathologists are involved in multidisciplinary meetings. Participants will see and treat in- and outpatients and visit tumor boards. The team is dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for its patients in the available options of diagnosis and treatment, as well as tryng to ensure the very best standard of care, high quality of life and respect patients’ preferences.
