For visiting observership status -A good level of German language skills is mandatory in order to follow communication between doctors and patients as well as tumor boards and recommendations. Fluent english

For visiting residency status - A minimum of intermediate level B2 in German is required (to be approved by the Regional Administrative Council / Supreme Health Authority of the German State of Hamburg). Fluent english

Programme description

More than 1,000 patients with Head and Neck Cancers are diagnosed and treated at the four treatment sites of the Asklepios Tumorzentrum Hamburg annually. The center offers the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques and procedures in a multidisciplinary approach. Participants of the program will take part into all diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including surgical treatment, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology and medical oncology as main disciplines well as participation in the multidisciplinary tumor boards. Surgical training involves all aspects of head and neck surgical oncology, including skull base surgery, robotics (Da Vinci XI system) and other microinvasive techniques, reconstructive surgery. Sites involved in this programme are on Campus Altona and Campus St. Georg
