Programme description

A multidisciplinary breast cancer specialization program designed for physicians seeking advanced expertise in the management of breast cancer, with a particular emphasis on medical oncology. The program integrates clinical training, tumor board participation, and exposure to translational research in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of the biological, diagnostic, and therapeutic aspects of breast cancer. Participants will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including medical oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, and research scientists. The curriculum focuses on systemic therapies, biomarker-driven treatment strategies, management of early and metastatic disease, and interpretation of emerging clinical trial data. A core component of the program is academic development. Each participant will undertake a supervised research project or structured literature review, with the objective of producing a manuscript suitable for submission to a peer-reviewed scientific journal. The program therefore combines clinical excellence with research training, aiming to foster future leaders in breast cancer care and investigation.
