From Protocol to Publication: A Practical Course in Clinical Research
Date: Tuesday 18 – Wednesday 19 March 2026
Location: Milan, Italy
The From Protocol to Publication: A Practical Course in Clinical Research is an exclusive in-person training event designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world research practice.
This advanced course is reserved exclusively for the 10 members of the ESO College who achieve the highest scores in the learning tests of the two online courses:
Over two intensive days in Milan, participants will engage in a series of highly interactive sessions led by expert faculty. Through hands-on workshops, critical discussions, and peer-review simulations, attendees will gain practical experience in every phase of clinical research, from protocol design and data analysis to publication strategies.
Each session encourages active participation and collaboration, providing a unique opportunity for researchers to refine their skills, exchange ideas, and receive direct feedback from experienced mentors.
Complete the two courses above by 13 January for a chance of being selected!
Molecular Oncology Master – Scholarship Opportunity
ESO College is pleased to offer partial scholarships of excellence for members wishing to enrol in the Molecular Oncology Master (MOM) — a premier postgraduate programme designed for oncology professionals seeking a strong foundation in the molecular mechanisms of cancer.
The programme is taught by faculty from world-class institutions, including Harvard-Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, MD Anderson Cancer Center, CSIC, and Vall d’Hebron Institute of Research.
The Master’s programme is designed to expand and strengthen your expertise through advanced, multidisciplinary training.
Participants will gain a solid foundation in cancer biology, from the origins and development of malignancies to the principles of basic research and clinical oncology. The curriculum also explores phenotypic expression patterns and innovative therapies targeting the molecular pathways involved in carcinogenesis.
In modern oncology, clinical excellence is inseparable from a deep understanding of the molecular underpinnings of disease. Accurate diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment increasingly depend on the identification and application of patient-specific molecular markers.
With over 20 years of experience, a globally recognised faculty, and a thriving network of more than 1,000 alumni, the programme is distinguished by its academic quality and practical relevance.
Programme Highlights
- 11 modules covering molecular basis of cancer, tumour suppressor genes, immunotherapy, clinical research and more
- Online classes with tutoring, small cohort for personalised support
- Online exams for each module
Eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in a biomedical field. Selection is based on academic merit and professional background.
