Programme description

The Research Nursing Fellowship provides an immersive introduction to oncology research within a specialist cancer centre, bringing fellows into a collaborative environment where research nurses, clinical academics, and multidisciplinary teams work together to deliver trials from early phase experimental medicine through to large interventional studies. Fellows will gain hands on experience in trial coordination, regulatory processes, patient centred research delivery, and the generation of high quality data, while also developing skills in critical appraisal, evidence based nursing, and the exploration of nursing sensitive outcomes in cancer care. The programme supports fellows to shape nurse led research questions, contribute to the development of practice guidelines, and build a strong foundation for future clinical academic roles within oncology.
