The ESO College is proud to host its first-ever College Convention, a unique event designed to bring together ESO students, alumni, and faculty from across Europe and beyond.

Whether you want to reconnect with peers from past ESO events, expand your professional network, or gain fresh insights into your oncology career, this Convention offers the perfect space to do so — all while celebrating the spirit of the ESO community. 

What to Expect
  • Networking sessions to meet peers, mentors and leaders from across the oncology field
  • Roundtable discussion on the power of networking in oncology, featuring personal stories and expert tips
  • Interactive advice clinics to support your career planning and development
  • OncoQuiz – a friendly, team-based competition to test your oncology knowledge
  • Engaging discussions, workshops and community-building activities
  • Plenty of fun and social moments to strengthen connections 
Participants Directory
Ahead of the Convention, participants will receive a digital directory of attendees to help them connect, identify shared interests, and start building relationships even before arriving in Budapest.
Language

The official language of the Convention is English. No translation services will be provided.

Participation

Attendance is limited to 100 participants, with registration open on a first come, first served basis.
Only members of the ESO College are eligible to register.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is of €50 and includes:

  • Access to all Convention sessions and activities
  • Participants Directory
  • 2 nights' accommodation at the Mercure Budapest Castle Hill Hotel (Check-in: 29 August | Check-out: 31 August)
  • Meals according to the programme (including dinner cruise)
  • Access to optional activities (advance reservation required)

Travel costs are not covered and must be arranged independently.

Accompanying persons are not permitted.

The registration fee is non-refundable.

  • Friday, 29 August
    Welcome Drink & Aperitivo – 19:30–21:30 at the Convention hotel
  • Saturday, 30 August
    Early Morning Walking Tour – 7:00–8:00 to Fisherman’s Bastion with local guide (limited spots)
    Dinner Cruise on the Danube – Group dinner with scenic city views
  • Sunday, 31 August
    Special Session: The Role of Media in Oncology
    Hosted by OncoDaily & CancerWorld | 09:00–11:00 at the Convention hotel 
Insurance

ESO does not assume responsibility for accidents, losses, or damages during the event.
Participants are strongly advised to arrange their own personal and travel insurance.

To secure your spot, complete the online registration (link available at the top of this page).

During registration, you will be asked to:

  • Verify your professional details — these will appear in the Participants Directory

  • Choose the optional activities you’d like to attend

  • Select up to 3 workshops

  • Provide the personal information and photo you'd like included in the Directory

Once your registration is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with payment instructions for the registration fee.

By registering, you agree to share your details with other attendees for networking purposes via the Participants Directory.
