DESCRIPTION
This two-day multidisciplinary seminar is designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy in oncologic imaging and pathology by addressing the most frequent and clinically significant sources of error across modalities. Through expert-led sessions, participants will explore pitfalls in mammography, thoracic and abdominal imaging, gynecologic and urologic oncology, PET-CT interpretation, and treatment response assessment.The programme integrates radiology and pathology perspectives, highlighting how misinterpretations arise, how to differentiate malignant from benign or post-therapeutic changes, and how to optimize biopsy strategies and molecular–immunohistochemical workflows.
Special emphasis is placed on complex and borderline cases, interobserver variability, and the role of emerging technologies—including artificial intelligence—in improving diagnostic consistency. The course combines lectures, case-based discussions, and multidisciplinary dialogue to provide participants with practical tools for reducing diagnostic errors and improving patient outcomes.
Attendance is limited and by application only, ensuring an interactive learning environment with close engagement between participants and faculty.

- Develop a practical framework for reducing diagnostic errors and improving outcomes in daily clinical practice.

REGISTRATION FEE
This course has a reservation fee of €160.The fee includes:
- Access to the full course and its educational resources
- Meals as outlined in the programme
- Two nights’ accommodation at the Courtyard by Marriot in Chisinau (arrival: 15th April – departure: 17th April)
Travel costs are not covered and must be arranged independently.
ESO College members at the time of application receive a 50% discount on the registration fee.

Attendance is limited to 40 participants and admittance is by competitive application only.Applicants should meet the following profile:
- MD degree
- Specialist or final year of residency in medical oncology, surgical oncology, oncogynaecology, pathology or radiology
- Fluency in English
