The Clinical Training Centres Fellowship Programme for doctors offers trainee oncologists the opportunity to spend 3 to 6 months at a Centre of Excellence in Europe. During this period, they refine their clinical skills, deepen their knowledge in their area of specialisation, and gain hands-on experience in a multidisciplinary setting specifically designed for oncology training.
Participants are exposed to all aspects of operating a successful cancer unit — from direct patient care to management topics, such as Audit processes and Quality Assurance.
While the goal is for doctors to apply their newly acquired knowledge within their home institutions, ESO recognises that differences in healthcare systems and clinical practices can sometimes make things challenging. To help address this, the programme has been extended to include Centres of Excellence in Eastern Europe, where shared languages and more aligned systems may facilitate a smoother transfer of knowledge and best practices.
The following Centres have partnered with ESO to provide high-standard clinical training and scientific mentorship to its fellows.
